Our Fun-Packed Weekend!

We were beginning to think that this weekend would never happen. We had been attempting it for a few months now, starting back in November. Our friends, Scott & Kate (& Grace!) Ronyak, have been planning to come visit us up here in Michigan. We had set a date (back in November), but they ended up getting sick (or was it us?) right before the trip. So, we rescheduled it for another weekend in November...but again...one of us ended up getting sick! So, we decided to hold off until after the holidays. Then a couple weeks ago Scott & Kate called to say that they wanted to come up soon, so we scheduled it...for this weekend. Unknown to us, Kate came down with a nasty cold earlier this week but was hesistant to call to perhaps need to reschedule, but thankfully, she started to feel better by Wednesday. BUT Corey and I came down with a narly cold Wednesday that has held on for several days now. So, with much hesitancy, we called the Ronyaks on Thursday night to let them know of this (what now seems to be regular) dilema...do we reschedule or just deal with it and have a good time anyway? We chose what every true partier does...have a good time! So, we spent the weekend with some good friends, sharing stories of what God is doing in our hearts and lives, talking about God's Word, worshipping God with scratchy throats and nasaly voices, celebrating Grace's and Catelyn's birthdays, playing Yahtzee, and waking up at 4am to crying and vomitting kids! Who would have thought we could have so much fun packed into a 24-hour visit? Oh the joys of living life with one another! It was a short visit with our friends, but much encouragement and edification was harvested from our time with them. We are thankful for their friendship and the blessing they are to us.

Who else wants to come?
