Ella is staring to sit!

Our littlest girl, Ella, has begun to sit on her own! I can't believe how fast she is growing up. Catelyn is SO excited to be able to sit and play with her now...although Ella still wants a bit more room while she perfects her new skill. Sorry that the video is sideways.

Waterpark

Since we have had such a crazy schedule over the last several months, MAF asked us to take a week off and relax. Beings I like to get things done, I kicked and screamed and tried to pursuade them otherwise but I just couldn't get them to compromise. Well, not really. We were very glad to take them up on their suggestion. So we all packed up and went to play at the water park Fort Rapids, here in Columbus Ohio. It was a lot of fun for all of us however, there were definitely times that didn't feel very relaxing. Like when Ella came down with a cold the first night and had us up every thirty minutes. The next night was better but since Catelyn was feeling left out, she decided to come down with it too, making sure that she got her fair share of awake time. Truthfully, we had a great time but it does seem comical that the kids get sick at some of the most awkward times in our lives. Here are a few pics of Catelyn having fun in the water. So enjoy and keep taking your vitamin C!!

Possible Upcoming Schedule

Okay so here is the breakdown of our tenative schedule. We feel it very necessary to put a very big LORD WILLING before and after these plans. So here goes:
Aug 23 thru Sept 2 - Corey in Montreal for training
Sept 3 thru 28 - We'll be in Columbus, Ohio
Sept 29 thru Oct 16 - Idaho for mission training
Oct 17 thru 19 - In California to present at Cornerstone Moorpark
Oct 20 thru Dec 4 - Back in Idaho to finish mission training
Dec 5 thru Jan 10 - In Ohio to begin packing to move overseas
Jan 11 thru 22 - Corey in Kansas for an aircraft class
Jan 23 thru middle Feb - Back in Ohio to finish packing and off to Indonesia

I once saw a bumper sticker that said "We plan, God laughs"
I thought it was funny and somewhat true, so we'll just have to see how things go.

Reunited and it feels so good!

For the last eleven days, I (Corey) have been in California for a ministry presentation marathon. It was a great trip and I'm eager to see all that the Lord is going to do through it to increase our support. When I left, I knew I would miss my wife and kids but I had never left my family for any real length of time before, so I don't really think I knew what to expect. Though the trip was good, it was very long and I was very eager to get back home. We decided that the family would stay home in Ohio while I went to California because our kids were beginning to wonder if we even had a home anymore. Ella wouldn't sleep at night and Catelyn was asking us if this was our new house every couple weeks. In addition, Catelyn began to lose it every time her mommy would leave the room. This isn't like our her so we thought we would try to minimize the kids traveling a little. Even though it was the best option for the family, it still stunk to not be together and unfortunately there are a couple more lengthy opportunities for us to be apart while we continue in this transition. Regardless, it's a blessing to be home. So next week, off to Montreal for another 11 days of training but back home for a whole month in Ohio.
