Some Ella

The title says it all...

The family mobile!

Here's the Kirkwood station wagon! We have yet to go out with all four of us on it, but its coming soon (and yes...a pic will be coming soon too).

It's a 2008 Honda Tiger.

Our home

Many of you have asked, so here are some pictures of our new home here in Salatiga.

This is the name of our neighborhood area (that is the best way to describe it). Our home does not have a house number...it's just there. Before mail can be delivered to our house the people need to know us to know where to deliver it. Pretty funny.

This is our street (as you can tell "street" wouldn't really be the word).

The front of our house.

There's no bathtubs in Indonesia, so this is how we bathe our kiddos.

Our master bathroom.

These two are our master bedroom.

The storage room/House helper's work room.

These two are the girls' play room.

These two are the girls' bedroom.

The front room (where we entertain Indonesian guest - In Indo, this is usually how far Indonesians go into homes.)

These two are our living room.

And this is how we dry our clothes. :)

A Mountain out of an ANT hill...and more things Salatiga

This morning I noticed a very small pile of dirt in our bathroom. When I got home from school today I found this...the beginnings of an ant hill...those little bugs were quite busy today. Don't worry...Corey has since "taken care of it."

For us white folks, this was a fun one. Please notice the direction in which the bananas actually grow (no, this picture is not upside down!), and how it differs from the way that we see them in our grocery stores! This banana tree is in our yard. YUM!

These were just some of the chickens that decide to walk with us when we go walking in our neighborhood.

Here are some students who saw us walking and RAN to get their picture taken with us.

This is one of our neighbor's home.

These pictures are of our neighbor climbing his tree to cut down some "stinky fruit."

And here is one of our frequent visitors...I think they're adorable!

The girl's birthday parties

Catelyn and Ella are lucky girls...they got TWO birthday parties for their birthdays! One in Ohio and one here in Indonesia! Catelyn turned 4 and Ella turned 1! Here are some pics of those parties:

In Ohio at The Little Gym:

Sorry about the order being backwards! I don't know how to arrange them.
