Canada

I had the opportunity to go to Montreal for the last couple weeks for a class for MAF. The purpose was to study an engine that we use in a few of our aircraft made by Pratt & Whitney called the PT-6. It's complex in some ways but very simple in others. The aircraft we use it in is the Cessna Caravan, the King Air B200 and the all new Quest Kodiak, a plane designed specifically for the mission field.

It was exciting to be in the class because oddly enough, it made it rather real for me that the time is drawing near when we'll be living in Indonesia, serving with MAF sharing the love of God with spiritually and physically isolated people. Enjoy these pics of the PT-6 engine, a Cessna Caravan and Kodiak. As enjoyable and exciting as these planes can be, they are simply a tool. To minister the truth of the Gospel to people is the what is truly exciting. These planes will do their task here on Earth and come to an end at some point but the people that they will be serving have souls that will exist for all of eternity. Our hope is that we can use these planes to show the love of God in ways that will spur them on to desire an eternal existence with Jesus and not apart from Him in the place of utter darkness and despair.

What an exciting thing for us to be a part of! Thanks to all of you who are making this possible. You are all a blessing to us but even more so to the people we will be serving.....forever! More on Canada in the near future.......
