Sunday Service

It's not too often that the girls and I get to see Corey (and the rest of our team) at work. Normal work days are during the weekdays...when we are in school, so we rarely get to see the "action." But occasionally, MAF receives emergency flight calls over the weekend. Today was one of those days.

Early this morning, Corey went to the hangar to prep the plane for a medical flight and to stay there for several hours to flight-follow (man the radio and stay in communication with our pilots while they are in the air). Today's call was for a 2-week-old baby who was having difficulty breathing and needed to be quickly flown off their island in order to receive better care at a hospital in the city. {I love that we get to serve the people of Aceh in such a tangible way!} Please join us in praying for this little baby.

After the flight there is more work to be done on the plane, so the girls and I went to the hangar to bring Corey lunch and to keep him company as he finished up with the plane. The girls LOVE to see the airplane, watch their daddy work, and help him do some of that work too!

Here are some shots from our little outing today.

I love our team...meet Stan our Program Manager/Pilot
...and Amber our other pilot!
Our girls love Aunt Amber!

 Skies are getting pretty gray!

Part of Corey's job is a post-flight engine run-up...Ella was a little bit excited to be IN the plane for it!

The girls wanted to climb the ladder...but just then it started to get really windy and rainy. Ella was "all done!"

Well, that was our Sunday morning/afternoon today. It is such a joy to serve with this team here. Each one doing their part to be a blessing to others; joyfully serving with the gifting and skills that God has provided to each...even on their "day off." We work with a great group of people! Then to finish up our day, we spent the evening worshiping Jesus alongside these brothers and sisters! It was a good day.
