We have fun plans for the break. Games, laughter, and plenty of laid back chillin' time by anything that has a refreshingly cool body of water!
But, not only that, this Summer we have fun plans to be a blessing to those around us...to utilize our relaxed schedule to {hopefully} stir up some happiness and smiles in others.
The girls and I spent a morning this week playing with playdoh. As we were molding the dough into our own unique creations, we began discussing how we ourselves are clay in the Potter's hands. That God Himself fashioned each one of us with His own hands.
With our hands messy with creativity, we talk about how we have been created with a purpose; with a task. That God has something specific in mind for each of us.
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." Ephesians 2:10
Good works.
So, we spend the remainder of our playdoh time coming up with ways to bless people around us. About what sort of good we can impart on our neighbors. I watch excitement and joy filling the eyes of my two little ones. I realize then that it is not only playdoh that I am busy molding and forming this morning, but two far more precious creations are being molded as well. My heart smiles deep.
Creating. Forming. Molding...to the glory of God.
"So whether you eat or drink {or play with playdoh!}, do it all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31
{I will be back here to share some of the things we've come up with and done! If you have fun ways to be a blessing this Summer, please share!}
