Snow Days

Well, this is our first winter in Michigan, and it has already begun to get cold...our highs have been in the upper 20s and the nights have been in the teens (this all without the typical windchill that has been accompaning it). it's suppose to get even colder until February! We've never had it snow so consistently, so it has been nice that every morning we wake up to a fresh layer of snow. It is gorgeous! Some of the snowflakes are as big as quarters! I can't agree with the singer that, "the weather outside is frightful!", I more think of it as DELIGHTFUL! Catelyn is really enjoying the snow! We took her to a Christmas parade during one of the storms and she just had fun watching the parade and the snow coming down. At first she hated gloves, that was until she fell down in the snow and her hands were covered in it...then she didn't mind so much having them on! We took her to the park the other day and she just ran around with her daddy in the snow. She isn't so much into touching it yet, as she is into kicking it and running in it. Soon enough she will enter into the world of snowball fights! But until then, I'll enjoy this time of my clean and dry little girl. Happy Snow Days!
