Our family deeply loves this time of year. Despite the lack of snow or bright lights lining the streets, we rejoice with great joy! We celebrate with glad hearts. Our hearts remember and revel in Christ our Lord.
"I bring you good news of great joy!" Luke 2:10
Here is a small glimpse into our Christmas season that I captured throughout the month on my phone...
"Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him." Matthew 2:2
{Tree decorating}
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Psalm 119:105
{Advent reading each night}
"But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity." Micah 5:2
{Re-telling the story using many different methods}
"One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts." Psalm 145:4
{Nana teaching the girls about the first Christmas}
"O taste and see that the Lord is good. How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him." Psalm 34:8
{Giving sweets to our neighbors}
"And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of heavenly host praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.' When the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, 'Let's go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us.'" Luke 2:13-15
{Acting out the first Christmas}
"He who is blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen!" 1 Timothy 6:15-16
{Ella's birthday gift for Jesus}
"For the Mighty One has done great things for me; and holy is His name." Luke 1:49
{Enjoying the peace that Jesus supplies}
"For you, O Lord, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands." Psalm 92:4
{Singing praises to our Savior each night!}
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
May your hearts be filled with all joy, hope and peace as you worship and adore the One through whom we have this
"good news of great joy" - Jesus!
