The Joy of Learning

It's that time again...school is back in session. Today was the first day of 2nd and 6th grade for my two little ladies-in-training.

Each new school year offers a fresh opportunity for our hearts and minds to stand in awe of God's power and authority over all of His creation. To have our breath taken away by the wonder of His beauty. Whether it be through Science {the study of all He has made}, History {exploring His infinite wisdom, love, and provision as He interacts with us through time}, Art {to delve into the creativity that God has imprinted into our being}, Math {discovering our potential for complex and abstract thought that the Lord has instilled within us}. 

There is not the tiniest area in all of life that God isn't already in. We find Him everywhere. We need only eyes to see and heart to seek Him.

So, as we begin our new school year, we jump in with eyes and minds and hearts wide open, ready to marvel at the majesty and glory of God.

"For by [Jesus] all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." Colossians 1:16-17

Here is a glimpse into our first day of school...
